Payload CMS is a free panel, installed on your own server, for managing website and app content. It can be used both for content management and for simple business records.
For businesses that handle sensitive information, such as in healthcare, law and finance, where the data lives matters. In Payload all data is kept on a server you choose; you don't depend on a service provider.
User permissions in the panel can be set in detail. For example, one person on your team can only add blog posts, another can change prices, and the admin can see everything.
Because it runs on your own server, it also needs updates and backups. We take care of those as part of maintenance.
