TypeScript

The programming language that helps us catch bugs in the software before you ever see them.

Why do we use it?

TypeScript points out many mistakes made while writing code before the program even runs. That way bugs get fixed before they reach your screen or your customers. As the software grows, changes also become safer.

What's in it for you

What does it bring to your project?

Bugs are caught before launch

Adding new features doesn't break old ones

The code is easy to understand, so another developer can take over easily

Maintenance and development costs go down

In detail

TypeScript is a more controlled version of JavaScript, the most widely used language in web software. While writing code, the type of each piece of information is spelled out; for example, whether a field is a price, a date or a name. When something is used the wrong way, the developer sees it right away.

Here's what that means for you: mistakes like an amount on an order form being saved as text by accident get caught before the software goes live. Fewer problems show up after launch.

Software grows and changes over time. When a new feature is added months later, every place affected by the change is flagged automatically. That lowers the risk of new features breaking old ones.

We use TypeScript in our Next.js and Node.js projects. In our Laravel projects, written in PHP, we work with that language's own checking tools.

What we use it for

  • 1Websites and applications built with Next.js
  • 2Back-end systems written in Node.js
  • 3Business software meant to be used for many years
  • 4Projects where several programs are connected to each other
