Node.js
The foundation we use for software that serves many users at once and sends instant notifications.
Why do we use it?
Node.js is good at handling many requests arriving at the same time without making them wait. That's why we choose it for projects that need live order tracking, instant notifications or constant data exchange between different programs.
What does it bring to your project?
Serves many users at the same time
Well suited to live notifications and instant updates
Low cost for connections between programs
Maintenance is easier because the site and server use the same language
Node.js is a free, widely used foundation for writing the server side of software. It lets us use JavaScript, the language used in the visible part of sites, on the server too.
It's strong at real-time work, like a new order popping up on a restaurant's order screen without reloading the page, or a courier's location updating live on a panel.
We also use it in software that connects marketplace, accounting and shipping programs to each other. These kinds of connections exchange small bits of data constantly, and Node.js handles that at low cost.
When the visible part of the site and the server side are written in the same language, development goes faster and maintenance gets easier.
What we use it for
- 1Live order and courier tracking screens
- 2Marketplace, accounting and shipping connections
- 3Messaging and notification systems
- 4The back end of mobile apps
