Technology Roadmap

A 6 to 12 month technology and budget plan, prioritized around your business goals.

When technology investments are made without a plan, you're left with programs that don't talk to each other and wasted budget. We prepare a plan with quarterly goals that shows which technology to invest in when, based on your goals, and how to split the budget. A presentation ready to take to your partners or board is included.

What's included

About Technology Roadmap

Many businesses buy technology as needs come up: when there's a problem, they buy a program; when a competitor uses a tool, they try it too. In the end, this approach leaves behind programs that aren't connected and overlap in what they do. A roadmap turns that cycle into steps planned in advance.

First we look at what you have: which programs there are, which ones are actually used, and which are outdated or a security risk. In most companies this review turns up surprises, and it also answers whether to start from scratch or build on the existing system.

For each investment we look at two things: what it will gain you and how hard it will be to implement. High-gain, easy-to-implement work goes into the first three months. What will be finished by the end of each quarter, and how it will be measured, is written down in advance, so the plan can be tracked and updated when conditions change.
