The problem
Suzie is an instructor east of Auckland who gives one-on-one motorcycle lessons and is authorized to run license tests. Someone who teaches one-on-one spends most of the day on the road; answering messages, arranging times and chasing payments takes time away from teaching. Students also needed to see which lesson suits them, what it costs and which times are open, all in one place.
The solution
Behind the site, we built a system the instructor runs her business from. The student picks a lesson and an open time, the slot is held for them until payment is complete, and payment is taken by card through Stripe. As soon as payment goes through, the student gets an email with a receipt explaining what to do on lesson day and what to bring, plus a calendar file they can add to their own calendar. Suzie manages bookings, student details, courses, prices, lesson locations and her availability from her own dashboard; she gets a phone notification for every new booking, and lessons show up in her own calendar app.

About the project
Motorcycle Training NZ is one of our clients in New Zealand. Suzie gives one-on-one motorcycle lessons and also runs her students' license tests herself. In a business like this, the website has to work for the instructor while she's teaching: answer questions, sell lessons and take payment.
When students arrive on the site, they first choose their stage: someone who has never ridden a motorcycle, someone preparing for a restricted license, or someone moving up to a full license. The lessons, durations and prices for each stage are clearly listed. A student who finds the right lesson picks an open time from the calendar and pays right away. The email that follows explains where to go on lesson day, what to bring and how to prepare, so the instructor no longer has to answer the same questions for every student.
